Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts presents
Les Arts Florissants with Théotime Langlois de Swarte
The world-renowned Baroque ensemble Les Arts Florissants is joined by fast rising and spirited young violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte in “Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at 300” commemorating the work’s original publication in 1725. A loyal member of Les Arts Florissants since his debut, Langlois de Swarte leads the ensemble on their North American tour. Vivaldi was a colorful figure in Baroque Venice, and one of the most influential musicians in 18th-century Europe. He captivated audiences with his extravagant personality and his virtuoso violin playing. An admired composer played throughout Europe, The Four Seasons contributed greatly to the composer’s fame.
