A Carillon Concert

featuring Andrea McCrady, Dominion Carillonneur of Canada

Storrs Congregational Church will be holding a Carillon Concert on their lawn on July 27 at 5:30 p.m. featuring Andrea McCrady, Dominion Carillonneur of Canada.  This event will be held rain or shine but if rain, will be moved inside the Meeting House. Bring a picnic, chairs or a blanket and make yourself comfortable while enjoying wonderful music coming from on High from their historic Dunham Carillon.

What is the Dunham Carillon?

26 bells located in the church steeple that are played with a keyboard.

The largest bell, or “Bourdon,” weighs 2,800 pounds, while the entire instrument weighs about 16,500 pounds.
