A Lenard Chamber Music Series event
Hungarian pianist Valentin Magyar, 24 years old, has quickly gained recognition in the world of classical music. Despite his young age, he has performed in numerous competitions and won several awards including a gold medal at the 2023 Vienna International Music Competition. At the age of 14, he was admitted to the class of special talents at the prestigious Franz Liszt Music Academy, where he obtained his master’s degree in 2024 as student of Dénes Várjon and Gábor Farkas. Also in 2024, he made his debut in China with solo and orchestral concerts in Shanghai and Suzhou, and performed recitals in Brazil, Serbia, Romania, England and his native Hungary. His second CD featuring works of Liszt and Schubert will be released in 2025. Program will include works by Franck/Bauer, Shubert, and Liszt.
