The Mansfield Downtown Partnership’s 2026 Summer Concerts on the Square continue with Hawk in the Nest!
On record, Hawk in the Nest is a fully complete orchestral indie pop rhythm & blues outfit, horn section and all. On paper, Hawk In The Nest is the full-band project of award winning singer-songwriter Avi Jacob, who celebrates elements of Folk, Indie Pop and Americana along with R&B. Produced with drummer Wolfgang Zimmerman (producer of Band of Horses #1 hit Crutch) & bassist Joel Hamilton, the album also features piano virtuoso Noah Jones of the Psycodelics, and Michael Quinn of Doom Flamingo on horns. It is Avi's first full length album of his career. For fans of Alabama Shakes, Ray Lamontagne, and Lake Street Dive, this carefully crafted long-player is a soulful work of art. The album is led by certified bop, "Don't leave me this way" and the tender, dreamy single, “Baby Baby Baby Baby.”

The Summer Concerts on the Square take place from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. The concerts are free and open to all ages.

PARKING: Parking is available in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage (33 Royce Circle), which is free for your first two hours and just $1/hour thereafter. The garage is about a 2-minute walk from Betsy Paterson Square.
